Laundry Day!!!

When we moved into this small 2 bedroom apartment with no washer and dryer, I thought...no biggie! Having never used a Laundromat before that wasn't an option. We have made wonderful friends here and I have washed at almost everyone's house who has offered. I was saving this one place for an emergency...well, today was the emergency.
She has always told me that the washer and dryer were outside under the garage. I called first as I thought they were out of town...and they were as NO one answered. We throw 3 big loads in the car and drive over. First I couldn't find the washer and dryer under the garage as I thought she had said. I was not about to go opening doors to go into the unlocked part of the house without help...I go grab the 17 year old in the car.
Mind you we feel like a group of gypsies anyway so imagine our fear when we go plundering in closets to find the washer only to find it full of washed clothes! Gasp! We could not turn around quick enough tip toeing out as we could only imagine they might actually be home and would be spooked by finding someone in their house washing clothes without even knocking on their door first.
Oh well, go back home to get a plan B.
